Who we are
Detectly is an AI-powered fleet safety platform operated by Kieran Wallace (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@detectly.co.uk.
What data we collect
We collect the following when you use Detectly:
- Account data — your email address and password (managed by Supabase Auth).
- Dashcam footage — video files you upload for processing. Files are stored in private cloud storage accessible only to your account.
- Processed clips — annotated video segments generated from your uploads.
- Driver and vehicle metadata — names and vehicle IDs you optionally associate with footage.
- Billing data — payments are processed in GBP by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
- Usage data — upload counts and plan information used to enforce plan limits.
How we use your data
- To process your uploaded footage and detect safety incidents.
- To provide your dashboard, analytics, and driver reports.
- To manage your subscription and enforce plan limits.
- To respond to support requests.
Your footage is never used to train AI models, never sold, and never shared with any third party.
Data retention
Footage and processed clips are retained for the period defined by your plan (30, 60, or 90 days for paid plans; 365 days for Enterprise). You can delete any video at any time from your dashboard — deletion removes the file from our storage immediately.
Account data is retained until you request account deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@detectly.co.uk.
Who has access to your data
Only you can access your footage and processed clips. Detectly staff do not access your footage except where strictly required to resolve a technical issue, and only with your consent.
We use the following sub-processors:
- Supabase — authentication and file storage.
- Stripe — payment processing.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@detectly.co.uk.
Cookies
Detectly uses only essential cookies required for authentication (managed by Supabase). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. File storage is private — footage is never publicly accessible. We use signed URLs with short expiry windows to serve video content.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
